Bollywood actress and the ‘Royal Rajasthan’ partner, Shilpa Shetty is all set to tie the nuptial knot with her jewellery tycoon beau Raj Kundra this October.

According to reports, the 33-year-old actress is planning a traditional wedding and has set a tentative date in already.

In an interview to a news daily, Shilpa said “I have very traditional views of marriage. I`ve seen my parents maintain a 35-year marriage and I really believe marriages are made in heaven.”

“I`ve always said that the day I decide to tie the knot it is going to be for good. I have often wondered who the right person would be and I`ve come to realise that for me it is Raj. I`m completely sure he is my soul mate,” the actress said about her two-year-old relationship with Kundra.”

The couple is planning a traditional wedding in India but is yet to make an announcement about their marriage.

It would be Shilpa`s first marriage, while Kundra was previously married to Kavita and has a daughter with her. Shetty met Kundra in early 2007. The 34-year-old millionaire owns a Dubai-based business trading precious stones and metals.

Kundra is also helping manage Shilpa`s career and is said to be behind her decision to invest in Indian Premier League team Rajasthan Royals, the last year`s IPL winners. The couple recently bought a seven-bedroom, 5 million pound house in Weybridge, Surrey in London.

Freida Pinto Highest paid actress in India

Freida Pinto, the star in the Oscar-winning film, Slumdog Millionaire, has leaped ahead of her Indian rivals to become the highest paid actress in Bollywood, a news report said.

Following the success of Slumdog, which took home eight Oscars and whose worldwide box office receipts so far are estimated at over $ 270 million, the Indian model-turned-actress has landed a series of lucrative roles with top directors, including Woody Allen and Julian Schnabel.

According to a report in the Daily Telegraph, she has pushed ahead of her colleagues Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, to become the highest paid actress in India.

Freida is currently in Israel to shoot for a new film that focuses on the interwoven lives of a Israeli and Palestinian women from the early years of the state through the early 1990s.

The British daily, quoting sources close to the Indian star, said her earnings have now topped 2 million pounds.

'Freida is fast reaching the top status in the international arena. The actress' projects with big filmmakers like Woody Allen have helped her join a league which no other Indian actress has achieved so far,' said a film analyst.

'Freida can't be compared to Aishwarya because we're not pitching her as an Indian girl in international films. Freida is a true global face,' Anirban Das, CEO of her management company, was quoted as saying in the report. Source : Rediff

Freida Pinto to star in Israeli film

Freida Pinto is going places, literally. After bagging a role in a Woody Allen film, the Slumdog Millionaire star has now joined the cast of Israeli filmmaker Julian Schnabel's Miral.

The 24-year-old shot to international fame after the success of Danny Boyle's multiple Oscar-winning drama.

Adapted from Rula Jebreal's book about Hind Husseini, who founded an orphanage in Jerusalem in the wake of the 1948 partition of Palestine and the creation of the state of Israel, the screenplay for the film is written by Schnabel himself, reports Variety magazine.

The film is to be shot in Israel and the Palestinian territories with filming to begin April 19. Earlier, Freida was selected for Allen's untitled project opposite the likes of Sir Anthony Hopkins and Josh Brolin.

Priyanka Chopra seems to be in the best phase of her career. The actress will be receiving the Nielsen Box Office Award for her outstanding contribution to Asian film industry. The award will be presented to Priyanka during the Third Annual Asian Film Awards on March 23.

The Asian Film Awards, which recognises professionals for their outstanding achievements in the field of Asian cinema, will be held as part of the 33rd Hong Kong International Film Festival at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. "Priyanka Chopra is India's number one female star. She has received numerous awards and accolades for her outstanding work," said Eric Mika, Vice President, Nielsen Media and Entertainment Group. "It is truly amazing to acknowledge the breadth of her success, and we are honoured to bestow the Nielsen Box Office Award on someone who has done so incredibly much in so little time."

Priyanka is only the second recipient to receive the Nielsen Box Office Award. She joins Andy Lau, who received the inaugural award at the 2007 ceremony.

Award-winning actress Natasha Richardson dies at 45

Award-winning actress Natasha Richardson, a member of the Redgrave acting dynasty, died Wednesday at age 45 after a suffering a severe brain injury in a skiing accident in Canada earlier this week.

Richardson had been hospitalized in New York since Tuesday, surrounded by her husband, actor Liam Neeson, her two sons Michael, 13, and Daniel Jack, 12, and members of her immediate family including her mother, actress Vanessa Redgrave.

"Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time," family spokesman Alan Nierob said in a statement.

Richardson followed her Oscar-winning mother and her father, the late film director Tony Richardson, into a career on stage and screen in England and the United States. She won Broadway's Tony Award in the 1998 musical revival, "Cabaret."

Neetu Chandra upbeat about lead roles

Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto may become the new Bond girl in the next spy adventure. The 24-year-old stunner was invited to a screen test for the 007 movie.

The actress was first spotted by producers during the casting for Quantum of Solace. And following Danny Boyle's Slumdog's awards success she has become the hottest property in Hollywood.

Freida could follow in the footsteps of Bond babes such as Plenty O'Toole in 1971 classic Diamonds Are Forever.

'Freida came to the attention of the Bond team when they were casting Quantum of Solace. She was too young at the time to have a part as a love interest for a secret agent,' The Sun quoted a source, as saying.

'But she has blossomed into an incredibly stunning young woman and would look perfect on Daniel Craig's arm.
