Priyanka plays Julia Roberts in 'Notting Hill' remake

Suddenly, the reclusive younger scion of Yash Raj Films is busy playing a multitude of roles. Uday Chopra is ready for a new beginning in the Hindi film industry. But this time, Uday will not only act but also be actively involved in the filmmaking process. Bade bhaiyya Aditya and father Yash Chopra are planning to again launch Uday in a Yash Raj film, Pyar Impossible in which he stars opposite Priyanka Chopra. Uday has also written the film's screenplay.

'Pyar Impossible' is loosely based on the 1999 Hollywood film 'Notting Hill', which is based on a relationship between a star played by Julia Roberts and a bookshop owner played by Hugh Grant. Uday's good friend Jugal Hansraj will direct 'Pyar Impossible'.

We sent a text message to Uday Chopra to confirm the news. On behalf of Uday, his spokesperson said, "It's too early to talk about this." Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra is quite happy about this Yash Raj film. She said, "Lately, it is the only script that I really liked. I cannot tell you much about the film's plot nor can I reveal the title. Although I sat through several script narrations, I was not too sure about what to do after Ashutosh Gowarikar's 'What's Your Raashee'. When I heard the script for Uday's film, I was immediately excited. It is a beautiful subject. It's a dream role for any actress."

Commenting on her equation with Uday since 'Pyar Impossible' is Priyanka Chopra's first film with the Yash Raj banner, Priyanka said, "Uday and I have often bumped into each other socially. I know him but not well enough to call him a friend," said Priyanka.

Only time will tell if 'Pyar Impossible' will breathe new life into Uday Chopra's acting career but his jodi with Priyanka and the fact that it's based on a popular film like 'Notting Hill' should make for an interesting watch.
